- Use the Resume sections panel on the left to move from Education to Computer Skills.
- Click Add Entry in each section to add a record. Use Up and Down to arrange entries.
- Click Generate PDF to download the final resume, or Print Preview to inspect the default format first.
The filename follows the app format: IABF - BA Resume_Last Name, First Name MI_YYYY-MM-DD.
2. Editor layout
The screen has three main areas: the top action bar, the section list, and the form panel. The app saves structured information, so fill in the fields rather than pasting a whole resume into one box.
Top action barSave, load, export, import, generate PDF, print preview, choose a resume theme, and open this help guide.
Resume sectionsClick a section name to edit that part of the resume. The active section appears highlighted.
Form panelAdd entries, type details, pick labels, and arrange items before export.
Filename pillShows the expected PDF filename based on the personal information and current date.
4. Publications
Select the publication type first. The builder changes the fields based on the type and creates an APA-style citation in the generated citation box.
- Use Journal Publications for published journal articles with journal title, volume, issue, pages, and DOI or URL.
- Use Journal Papers in Review for manuscripts under review or submitted for publication.
- Use Conference Papers for peer-reviewed, abstract-reviewed, or in-review conference work.
- Use Other only when the record needs a manual APA citation.
5. Languages and computer skills
These sections use a category, item name, proficiency label, and bar percentage.
- For languages, sample categories include Main Languages and Academic Communication.
- For skills, sample categories include Spreadsheet and Analytics, Data Visualization, ERP Platforms, and Research Tools.
- The proficiency label sets a default bar value. You may still edit the percentage from 0 to 100.
6. Save, load, export, and import
- Save Draft: stores the current resume in the same browser.
- Load Draft: opens the last saved browser draft.
- Export JSON: downloads an editable backup file of the resume data.
- Import JSON: replaces the current form contents with the selected JSON resume file.
Use Export JSON before clearing content or moving to another device.
